I recently bought my first 1911. It's a colt mk iv series 70 gold cup national match. Man it's sweet. I'd like to find a shoulder rig that's as perfect as my new weapon. I would like to find something comfortable that would also carry an extra mag. I'm 6' tall 220 lbs. I would appreciate suggestions.

i have a galco miami classic II. I have carried a government 1911 for over 8 hours without issue.

Be ready for all the "shoulder rigs are terrible for CC" replies. :)

I carried a Beretta 92 in a Galco Miami Classic for private security work while at formal functions. Conceals fine if you dress for it.

Thanks for the advice. I really like the Andrews monarch rig. I won't carry this often but I carry all of my handguns differently from one another. My go to is still my g19 in my don Hume iwb holster. Can't hardly tell it's there.

The only shoulder rig that I can stand to wear is an old Galco Jackass rig, I think the model is called the Miami classic or something now.

Anyway I don't usually wear a shoulder rig unless I'm going to be seat-belted in a vehicle or something all day, that's really all I use mine for.

Very nice, I really like some of those options for the Andrews Monarch, but like I previously mentioned I don't really wear my shoulder rig enough to shell out dough for a second one, even if it has some really cool options LOL.

Kramer Leather makes the absolute best shoulder holster in horsehide. The suede shoulder straps are what makes it work so that you forget you have it on.

    google it. comes right up.
