May not be a Colt or Kimber, but it's a 1911! As far a I am concerned you made a good choice.

Picked this up a couple of weeks back. It's a 1943 Remington Rand with a Colt slide. It's in remarkably good condition with bright rifling.

Lighting is just outdoor overcast, nothing special there. The pistol is sitting atop a piece of hobby foam board. This is an HDR composition rendered in Lightroom 4.4 / Photomatix Pro 5.
