My first pistol was a Walther P-22 but here is my first real pistol, Para Ordnance Slim Hawg .45 acp. I picked it up a couple days ago new and i love it.

Are you certain on the 1918 date? It has the post 1924 "1911A1" finger relief cuts behind the trigger, slide release, and the "1911A1" mainspring housing and grip safety?

For some reason 1918 stuck in my brain. After looking up the Ser # C553xx, I get 1916. I know the frame looks newer but that's all I have to go by. It has been completely redone somewhere along the line so the small parts could easily have been changed then. The relief cuts are a mystery though. The slide that came on the gun is a Colt slide with Patent Dates up to 1913. The slide also has the Prancing Pony in between the lettering. The only other mark on the frame besides the ser # is a small "P" proof near the mag release. With the original slide on the gun it looks very nice and shoots well. To bad it's not all original. :dunno:

Here is a new set of striped and flamed Hawaiian Koa grips on my ScoreMaster.

This is a "matched set" of matching serial numbered guns. They come in a velvet lined presentation case (which I also have). Seecamp and Detonics teamed up on a couple different projects, this was the last of the joint projects. The grips on the Detonics pistols in this set are as limited as this run of guns, no other Detonics pistol had anything close to this style of grip as they were designed to compliment the grips on the Seecamp 32acp pistol.
