I have an FBI (Professional Model) too. I don't shoot her much, but she's pretty to look at in the safe. :)

I know this post is a couple of years old but the Springfield Professional has been on my want list for a while. Been eyeballing them on Gunbroker and this one is available now.

Springfield Professional PC9111 FBI 45 acp 45ACP : Semi Auto Pistols at GunBroker.com

I've been seeing them go from anywhere from $2200 to $3000 the past few months. This one has the Nowlin barrel And the extra mags which are good.

Any 1911 experts in here care to comment on the fairness of this price?

    Thoughts would be greatly appreciated.

^ I understand the appeal of the Springfield professional completely, but man, at that price point I'd just get an Ed Brown and be done with it.

Finally, after far too long after selling my beloved pre-series II Kimber, I'm a happy 1911 owner again!

She may have a Brazilian frame and goofy internal lock system, but it's hard to not like a gun that can keep 'em touching at 23yds unsupported.

Better still, is that was with the 5.5 lbs stock trigger pull. With a little bit of TLC, the trigger should be down to 3lbs or so, and I'll be able to keep em even tighter.

I am anxious to add pics but rather wait to do it till they are in my hands! I am trading my Noveske AR Pistol for two Kimber 1911's tomorrow. One is a Kimber Grand Raptor II and the other is a Ultra Raptor II. I will post some Gun Porn when I get them tomorrow!!

    Dang...good deal.

The pics are some of fellow member SumPheads work. He did the re-coat on both pieces and I have to give him a thumbs up on his work. Priced right. Timely and on top of that a nice guy. +1.................:D

Para P-12 alloy frame. running P-14 Mag. Was flat black and showing many years of EDC.
