Ok, Its hot, my heater is stuck to where I have no a/c. Anyone ever messed with these devils? I have read that it can either be the blend door actuator, or the blend door itself. The price of either part is not an issue to me.

What I am looking to find out is if there is a way to test the actuator that anyone may know of????

    All Helpful information is appreciated.

First things first, if you haven't already, I suggest you buy a shop manual. Roughly 20 bucks. Have you already eliminated the possibility of needing refrigerant? If you have, and would like to know where to go from there, send me a PM, I just did this about 2 weeks ago on my truck.

I took it in thinking the refrigerant was low, they topped it off, but stated that it was either the blend door or actuator. Difference being 9-10 hours of labor in pulling the dash out for the blend door. I just checked voltage to the actuator and the wires are good up to the plug so Im possibly thinking actuator. I will have to pull it out and see if it runs though. The PITA is my garage aint big enough for the truck, so all this is being done OUTSIDE.

I had a similar problem with my F-150. It turns the temperature knob on the dash was stripped out. I guess this is also common like the blend door issue.
