So, if Orangeman comes through with these payments, are the Never Trumpers, Orangeman Badders, And General sufferers of TDS going to refuse them or return them?

Obama could have and would have had logical reasoning to cut spending 10% every year until balance. Across the board - evenly. He would have been a hero to both parties, and secured half of republican votes. All this while doing his social meddling.

Side request #1 - what's this about curb stomping (link please)?
Side request #2 - I can't rep anything - what's a guy gotta do around here to drop rep bombs?

I'll say this: If I were making the decision, I wouldn't be likely to just pass out money indiscriminately. I think it would be much better to target the payments to business that can't operate so long as they keep paying their employees.

But if money does get passed out broadly, there's a Browning shotgun in the classifieds that has been catching my eye.

Actually, after I posted that, I went and looked. Apparently that shotgun sold about a week ago. Oh well.

So I probably have some more time to get the rest of my quality posts. (I think I'm 54 away; I've posted enough garbage that I've gone backwards.)

I'm thinking maybe air intake, exhaust, and suspension on the new toy I bought myself if the extra money comes in.

I’m thinking we’re all off base if we think their going to agree on anything of substance that will actually help. $1200 is a new TV, not household expenses.

I'll laugh my butt off if China says, "No! We're not buying your treasuries.:p"

That would be seriously funny in an ironic sort of way. There is no other country on earth that can come up with that much money.

    :n00b:

$1200 for me is close to two weeks salary. Two mortgage payments. One mortgage payment, cell bill, electric, water, and gas. Two months food. Four months gasoline.

It's a good chunk of change for a lot of people.

I mean, it'll probably still be blow money for most, but for the disciplined....
