Always interesting to see poll results. While there are national numbers, there are also regional variations (due to hunting law variations, game variations, geography and other things).

BTW, not to get too sidetracked, but I've felt sorry for some time about the loss of INGO poll data after the last platform upgrade. Have thought many times about reposting some of the classics to regenerate some data and spur new discussion.

Not as many people have taken the 2nd poll though. On a % basis, 762x39 is in 3rd place, and 45-70 actually has 243 beat for 10th.

Very true and a solid observation. I'm also heavily into AK-74s. While 5.45x39 is essentially vaporware everywhere these days, my buddies out in the PNW have long had a very hard time sourcing 5.45, even before covid and the Biden ban. I remember guys asking if there was a single round of 5.45 for sale at any gun stores across Idaho.

Running 2 polls will inevitably make it harder to interpret the data accurately. I looked at the 2nd poll, but I didn't take it because I didn't own any calibers on the 2nd poll. If there are several others like me, that means that everything on the 2nd poll will be skewed slightly higher in the rankings when looking only at percentages of the total.

Not going by %. In the evening I'll go through both polls as I have been and post the top 10 via votes.

    Yeah none of those.

But I have always been wanting to get an M60 Tank with 105MM

Thats 105×617mmR, which is still in service with US armed forces, though the M60 is gone, the round is still used by the M1126 MGS, and the future M10 Booker
