Two of the Court of Appeals judges have been there for more than 20 years so I voted not to retain them. It won't matter, but do you think that is a good idea? Should state court judges be limited to 20 years, then go back to the real world?

Term limits/ no term limits... either way can bite you in the ass... I hate to be Debby downer but I think we're damned if we do, damned if we don't. I think the law of entropy or 2nd law of thermal dynamics takes its course universe wide.

Why? Are they doing their job or not?

I feel like any elected / appointed public official should have a 10 year term cap. That counts for senators especially. People get too comfortable and forget what the job is. People also get old. The world is changing and unfortunately many of the people who have been in office for decades are not.

I dont think it matters. I think once you get on those positions , all but those of the strongest moral fabric end up beholden to special interest within the 1st few months.. if not before they are elected by the money that special interest spends campaigning

As to policy-making politicians, sure, term limits.

Judges in the state court system just don't do so much of that. I little more in the state supreme court, but below that, not so much.

The problem is that if we kick them, the governor appoints replacements. Given that we have a governor who, to the best of my knowledge, is the most corrupt governor in the history of the state, I do NOT want him appointing anyone to anything.
