    I-get-around
I found the legal reasoning. It's volleyfire. One "shot" with multiple projectiles discharged. The trigger has to be reset for subsequent shots, so it's not a machinegun. I was not previously aware of this letter, but I knew some very old volleyfire guns were out there and wondered about their technical legality - this answers that question.

The double tapper for the second shot challenged.
Is this a great country or what!

None of them have made it to Gunbroker yet, but I've checked a couple of times. The MSRP is reasonable and I'm very curious what the "street price" will stabilize at once they get out in quantity.

    Interesting.

At two-shots per trigger pull, does that make it a "machine gun"?

I don't find it practical as a self-defense gun but it will probably wind up the anti-gunners, get banned in California, etc.

This is just like the double barrel Arsenal 1911 in 45 cal.
Now you have me wondering. I have not seen anything more about the D.B. 45.
Is it on the open market?

Yes, they are out there. Search for Arsenal 2011 on Gunbroker and you will find several for sale. Frank Galati had three or four for sale at the Indy 1500 a few years ago, back when he still did that show. He also had them at Knob Creek once or twice too. Because they are so expensive, most gun shops and gun show vendors don't carry them as a regular stock item. Apparently the initial blued .45acp offerings were popular enough that Arsenal now offers the gun in blued or stainless finishes and 45acp or 9mm Luger. I had no idea they made them in 9mm Luger until your question made me check on Gunbroker - I was pretty surprised.
