So what are the must have suppressors to own? I can even see buying cans for guns I dont own yet just to have them for the future...
Is this silly as suppressor technology should improve over my life time?
I am also hedging this on the idea that this tax stamp has been $200 for over 80 years and maybe the dems will try to adjust this for inflation as a way to make some ofbthis stuff out of reach for the average Joe...
According to an inflation calculator this could make a stamp cost $2600!

    Speculation aside...

    Does 9mm suppress well? 45? 223?
I kind of want to just get all my NFA "needs" taken care of in 2013.

If I were to buy 2 or 3 cans at once, do you think any dealers would do a 6 month layaway while waiting on stamps? I have a dealer that did my 22 can and I plan to stay loyal to him, just wondered if this would be out of line to ask...

Not really sure about all your questions, but might want to look into a trust if you're going to have multiple items.

    I wouldn't advise shooting a .45 or .223 through a 9MM suppressor!! ;)

Although that is exactly how Thompson Machine torture tests their 9mm cans. They thread them .578-24 and shoot .45ACP though them. Tears the copper jackets right off the lead!!!

They used to post videos of it until the company lawyer types advised them against it, lol.

Most 9MM cans can't handle the pressures of .223 loads.

Sorry for my ignorance, but why?

No fingerprints, picture, or CLEO sign off, increased privacy (your CLEO won't know you have them, which means there is no chance of word getting around town) and you don't have to worry about your beneficiaries trying to sort it all out should you go unexpectedly. Additionally you can allow anyone else in your trust access to your NFA items, which is a big seller for most people.
