I just picked up one of the 550 packs last night from walmart, so we'll see how it works out in my 10/22. I typically shoot thunderbolt and have not had an issue, but I wanted to try something other then round nose lead (RNL) ammo.

I'll let you know after the weekend.

I read bad things about the "Remington Golden Bullet" and so far it is some of the better .22 ammo I have used. My Ruger 10/22 just doesn't like the federal stuff.

I have excellent results with the remington. Federal is my favorite and the winchester lead nose is the worst ammo I've ever shot. My Rugers and the GSG-5 are 99% with remington and federal. Put winchester in them and they run about 80%. Not to mention more duds per box.

I stoped using bulk 22 ammo in my semi-autos years ago. Always had problems with them. I personaly only shoot CCI mini-mags. Last time I bought they where about $7.50 per 100 rounds.
