Rayne, give the CCI Green tags a try. My KIDD barreled 10/22 shoots most types of CCI very well (<1 MOA) but I'm hearing the Green tags are much more consistent.

I want to fix a few things on my 10/22 then will try testing ammo again.

NIce write up Rayne. I love a good "layman" review.

I sold my GM heavy 10/22 last fall but it really liked the CCI MiniMag 40grs best of the over the counter stuff. Consistent less than 1" at 50 yds.
I didn't do the rifle justice due to not taking it seriously at different distances.
I tried about all the regular .22LR ammo including the SV.
The SV CCI seemed to be inconsistent at best.
I've got some old Winchester Wildcat all of my rifles like but it's not coated and fouls quicker than most

I have a pretty stock 10/22 setup, and seem to get the best accuracy (esp on 50+ yd shots) with CCI Mini Mags or Stingers.

Finally got my build out today. Tested 6 ammos. Federal champion, cci mini mags, cci sv, federal auto match, armscor, and winchester super x. Everything was within 1/2" groups with the Armscor being the worst. Im not surprised on that.

I did 5 shot fouling group of each on seperate target, then 5 shot group on posted target. No cleaning in between and this is brand new barrel, never fired before this.

I picked the best 3 groups and did 10 shot groups with no fouling shots between different brands. These are at 50 yards also. Wind picked up with the federal automatch group. I believe i could of done better.
