I have noticed a big difference in the amount of the hole in different hollow point .22LR rounds. How much difference does this make?

Not much with a .22.

The actual bullet weight and velocity is much more important to overall accuracy and consistency of point of impact.

You know, I have wondered that myself. Maybe a letter to the manufacturer or a couple of manufacturers may shed some light on it. It would be interesting to find out why each manufacturer makes certain hole sizes on specific types of thier rimfire ammo. You have a very good question in my opinion.
