It not that there is a big shortage. I've been told that dealers are getting ammo on regular basis. People are buying it up as fast as its unpacked. I've bought 22 LR bulk for as cheap as 15.00 for pack of 525. I've seen the same pack priced at 200.00 at the last 1500 gun show. I have plenty but its like having a million dollars. You spend it & you want have it any more. So, why shoot up what you can't replace?

Keep hitting your local Walmart etc. The ammo is flowing but the price gougers usually buy the case or two received by lunch time so you have to catch it while you can.

I was at Dicks yesterday in Lafayette and they had standard velocity CCI @ $40/ 500 rounds. I had a $10 off card and paid $32+ for the first 500. I left and came back and another person was behind the counter so I got the second 500 at the $40 because I knew a friend that had none. They had plenty to sell yesterday afternoon.

Why would Dicks change their price based on who is behind the counter??
