I've owned a mosquito and an sr22. I sold the first mosquito to buy an sr22 just because it was the next best thing. It was a nice little gun. Little being the operative word. I think i only had a few ftf's with the sr22, i just did not care for the small feel of it. The mosquito is a very picky gun when it comes to the ammo, but i like the feel of it better. It feels pretty similar to my other sigs.

I have the SR 22, normally it's been pretty good, but I had a bad outing with it last week. Had all kind of problems with failure to load out of both magazines. I did just open up a new box of Federal Bulk pack, so maybe I have a bad batch of under powered 22lr.

Before it would just do it occasionally. I will say that it is a lot of fun to shoot and has proven to be quite accurate. I don't expect a 22lr to be flawless since it isn't for self defense.
Make sure you check your barrel, That is what happened with mine. Mine has been fine again after loctiting the barrel. Jim

Not a choice of yours but the Sig P220 in 22 is phenomenal! I own a bunch of 22 pistols and this is my new favorite, next to my S&W 41s that is. It is very accurate plus you can buy a .45 top half for it. :yesway:

I have a S&W MP22 and really like it. Recommend checking one out and seeing how it feels in your hand.

Went out and bought one tonight. The winner is....None of the above! :) I fondled a variety tonight and decided on a black Walther P22. Really happy with my choice, we went to the gun range as soon as we got home and shot it. :)

My Sig Skeeter is a non stop disappointment, the mags are uber expensive, it jams with either spring, ftf, fte, stove pipe. I really don't care for it. The Ruger is the one id go with if those are the choices.

    Behind the V!
Had a GSG-1911 22. Shot everything I fed it with ease, even though it's rated as a High-Velocity shooter. Basically, it was like an engine requiring "Supreme Unleaded" running well on "Unleaded".

I loved the shootability of it, but I just wanted something with a better quality slide. Not getting a new 22LR handgun any time soon but I personally want one with a quality aluminum slide (I think I've read somewhere that the Ruger SR22 has T6/Aircraft grade aluminum slide??? If so, put the Ruger at the top on my list!)

I've got a GSG-1911 .22, I've only found one ammo so far it has less than 40% fail to fire or fail to feed with, CCI Mini-Mags, and for a "budget" gun, I hate not being able to feed it "budget" ammo (federal bulk, thunderbolts, etc.)

I have very limited experience with guns in general but used the SR22 for a couple hours. It's a lot of fun to shoot, but there were a ton of failure to ejects, which got really annoying. In contrast the Glock 22 we used never failed to eject once.

Junk in junk out. The Sig 22, S&W M&P 22 and the Walther 22 are each great 22s once they are borken in. That is th secret. Don't listen to the BS on how bad each 22 maybe. FWIW, I also want the SR22 and I have the other three. Right now my Sig is my favorite with the Smith & Wesson a very close second.

I am stuck between the ruger and m&p.

I already have a PPQ so I would like something a little more different which is why I am not getting the p22.

I've got the sr 22 and will admit for the first 300 rounds it was picky, but after a little feed ramp polishing with the dremel tool, it will shoot anything!
