I am shooting a Ruger .44 Mag Carbine for deer this year and have 240 gr SWC I use in a 7 ½ RBH and wonder what load to use in the Carbine? I have Red Dot, IMR SR 4756, WST, Varget, Universal, Unique, IMR 3031,and Clays powders.

I use 6.5 gr Red Dot for most of my RBH loads but that’s because it shoots where the gun points at 50 yards.

Any of those will work, but personally I use a Marlin carbine and use 240 grain Hornady JHP for hunting. A generous charge of WW296 give me plenty of power for woods ranges. I've used 3031 in the 444, but never in the 44 mag.
