They never called or emailed me. Just shipped to the door.

I was going to try mine tonight, but the wife brought home some Chinese to cook. :): Maybe tomorrow.

They called me today. Told me that most folks setup a plan where they purchase it over time. They don't purchase the whole package all at once.

Talk about promptness. I put in an order for a sample a couple of hours ago and got a call from them about 20 minutes ago asking for confirmation of address, etc. They're even gonna call back next week to confirm receipt. That's salesmanship, but with their prices I'd expect no less.

My wife and I had stroganoff last night for dinner. She made spaghetti in case it was terrible. I would say it's on par with Ramen. You add the water and then wait about 10 minutes. The small chunks of meat were a bit crunchy / tough, but they were small. The noodles softened right up and the sauce was pretty good. My thoughts:

If it was for a normal dinner I would feel it was lacking. In the SHTF it would seem like a 4 star dinner! Pretty good considering the shelf life. The prices seem a bit high, but it is handy to just grab the buckets and go. We're considering it.

I also think that the size of the sample pack is quite a bit smaller. It was pretty small for a dinner for two people... That's all we ate last night and I was hungry by bed time. I'm also overweight and used the small portion as a test as well as part of the diet. I would recommend everyone to get a sample and try it. I hope others get other foods than the stroganoff.

PS: I haven't gotten a phone call or an email...just got the meal shipped.

Do bear in mind re: shelf life, that that is under optimal storage conditions. The shelf life varies from 5 years (stored in your garage) to 25 (stored in a climate controlled area). The guy I talked with was straight up about it. Nice to know.
