In your opinion, what is the best bolt carrier assembly, charging handle and free float rifle length handguard for a 3-Gun AR build? I have an 18" stainless steel upper with a rifle length gas system already. I would like to find a carbon fiber handguard and I am seriously considering a Jerry Miculek compensator.

    Let's hear it!

I know that the Calvary Arms lowers used to be pretty popular due to their low weight.

Yup, on a 3 gun rifle the shooters seem to favor a very heavy barrel but a very light stock. Cavalry Arms used to sponsor a lot of shooting competitions before the ATF shut them down. I think they make great build platforms. Another option is an ACE skeleton stock, those are really light, but you still need the lower receiver so I don't know if the combination of the ACE + receiver is lower weight than a Cav Arms unit.

FWIW here is an article from the NRA about building a 3 gun rifle => Building the Perfect 3-Gun Rifle
