Today I was at the bookstore getting reading material for my flight to Arizona (went with Jared Diamond's new one, The World Until Yesterday) and I saw a series of books in brown covers entitled "30 Second Philosophies". There were other books on math, economics, mythologies, politics, etc.

I thought this might be good for the boys. Anyone bought anything from this series for early teens and/or pre-teens?

Never heard of such, but I'm interested to find out; have an 11 y/o and even an 18 y/o that may well benefit.

You bought your kids the 30 second on religion? Did they get anything out of it?

I'd like to get the set if you think they are worthwhile. Sort of a general survey and then work in.

Right now they are all reading sci-fi and wookie books. I want to broaden their scope.
