30 Super Carry

i have been watching some videos about .30 super carry, looks interesting, may have to try one.

We've had a number of boxes (at BPS) of 30 SC for months, we also have a S&W shield in 30 SC...still there.....I like my .32 ACP...

Dick Fairburn has a pretty decent take on the 30 SC In his latest video

He does,...watched it earlier. But he doesn't have access to the cartridge and hasn't fired it so it's more theoretical than practical. And I think he rates it much too close to the .380 rather than the 9mmP where it probably belongs. And 30 Super Carry is not a rimless version of the .32 H&R Magnum,......100gr/1250fps vs 80gr/1150fps. That's quite an advantage for the SC.

I still think it compares well to the standard 9mm loadings but you don't have the option of +P since it's already at +P levels. The advantage it has over the 9mm is simply the +3 capacity and the fact that 'right now' the 30 Super Carry chambering is much cheaper feature for feature than the 9mm. At least with the Shield Plus, identical guns are $150 apart and were $200 apart while the rebate was in effect.
