.300 ACC Blackout/5.56

I am building a .300 blk and am making sure to label a couple of magazines and the upper so I don't accidentally load a 5.56 round in the chamber. I don't think anything would be damaged, maybe the brass would split ? Would anyone admit to doing this and share the results ??

It's a bad thing, definitely dont want to mix them up. I believe the bigger issue is loading the 300blk into a 5.56 chamber (it does chamber). Can split the receiver open..

I use Troy mags for the 300, magpul mags for 5.56. Since 300 blk won't even fit in them without mods. Worked out well

Did you mean to say that 300 BLK won't fit into Pmags? If so, I assure you that Pmags hold 300 BLK just fine without modification.

I loaded my P Mags with 300 and it sucked. Take the mag full of rounds give it a shake and they fall out onto the ground. New mag and new ammo.

Would like to just run GI mags and trade someone out. Mag wraps or some paint would suffice.

I had to try mine. Shook pmags with 223/556 and 300blk as hard as I could. Both held up nicely.

Don't have any 300 BLK to test, but I hear it works better in the gen 3 than the gen 2.

That's what I have read, too. My first 300blk is an sbr currently in NFA jail. All of my pmags are gen2. Will pick up some gen3 to see which runs better for me.

Or just grab a bunch of the D&H mags from Palmetto. Fantastic mags and I believe they're good to go for 300 BLK as well.

Already have a bunch of these. Might order more and mark them so I don't mix 300 and 556.

I've wrapped a few of my mags with red tape for the .300 rounds.

I haven't shaken my mags, but I have 300blk in gen2 pmags and they run perfect.

I was using gen 2 and they "pinch" the rounds because the projectile is so much larger, pushing them inwards at the front. Maybe they feed? But I'd never put my life on it the way they were behaving in my mags.

Personally, I use D&H aluminum mags from PSA. I took neon green duct tape and wrapped them where I couldn't miss it and wrote "300" on the tape with a sharpie. If I manage to screw that up, shame on me.

All I have are GI mags except 1 10 round mag I bought for deer hunting. Will have a report on how these work in a few weeks.

I use mag bands for my 300 mags. 556 mags stay bare.

I have used 300 in gen 2 and 3 Pmags. Some gen 2's ran fine, others did not.

The gen 3's ran fine.

The best IMO, are the Lancer mags. I have never had an issue with them with 300.
