300 Blackout

I am new to the AR scene so this may be a dumb question but here goes.
Is there a manufacturer called Blackout that makes barrels for AR's? I have a 10.5" 300 Blackout barrel on here for sale and naturally folks are asking who made it. I assumed the manufacturer name was Blackout. I'm just trying to find this out so i can be informative. HELP Please

Blackout is the name of the round, .300 Blackout which is actually .300 AAC named by Advance Armament Corp. Many different barrel companies make barrels for that round. The manufacturer of the barrel is often roll-marked on the barrel but no always. Good luck with the identification process.

Are there any other markings on the barrel not shown in your sale thread?

Where did you buy it? What does their information say about it? Link? Etc.

No other marks. Just 300 Blackout 1:8. Bought a complete upper for a pistol and the guy threw it in for $100. Still wrapped in bubble wrap. I actually opened it. Never asked where he got it. Was an older guy, not the shadey type. Nice guy.

You are correct....A man's got to know his limitations.

since there are tons of companies making barrels in 300 AAC Blackout, its hard to say.

Regardless, you might as well make an upper in 300BLK and shoot it!!!
