Just don't tell them about how much it kicks, cause it really doesn't.Have her wear a thick shirt and practice with 44 specials. Load the mags for deer season she won't feel it kick anyway when the deer is out there

Some say that the 44 mag is a suitable deer round but not great. If you shoot a ML with 100 grains of black powder/pyrodex pellets and sabots, you're shooting the same 44 cal bullet and pushing it about the same velocity as the 44 mag. I get about 1800 fps out of both the 44 Ruger and the T/C Omega. Neither are 200 yard guns, but where I hunt there isn't a shot over 100 yards anyway. Most are under 50. A 44 cal bullet in the boiler room out of either ML or 44 mag. and bambi is going to have a bad day.If you want, I can meet you at a range and you can try mine out. Happy to share.

My 7 year old son has killed his first buck and first doe last year with a .410 single shot H&R. He will be with me this year being 8 and I'm sure he'll get the job done. I used the same .410 to take 4 deer and the .410 will get the job done with the proper shot placement.
