I need find a clean burning powder for 230gr FMJ.

I worked up some loads with CFE Pistol for my FNX 45T, 6.0gr, 6.2, 6.4, 6.5.

They all worked well unsuppressed, but had a bunch FTF malfunctions suppressed with all of them except 6.0gr, the lightest load. My guess is the slide was cycling too fast from the extra back pressure.

I also have a lot of unburn powder in my face when shooting suppressed.

I read about it online, it's a very slow burning powder for 45.

Clays. You need to try some Clays. I don't know where you live but if close I would give you some to try. I have more here then I will use in my lifetime.

I've run 231 and Unique as of late. Used to run Bullseye but it proved to be really dirty comparatively. Just recently tried Unique and am pretty happy with it after about 500 rounds.

Clay's is the cleanest burning 45 powder I have ever used. The only thing even close is VV 310 or 320($$$$$$)
