I would assume both, unless the idiot that tries to get away with a bank robbery is politically motivated.

Not sure if the blue ones would not have any armed guards or would be heavily armed like the left's security details usually are...

Or would the blue ones have some socialist aspect and simply redistribute based on "need?"

I'm guessing the red ones would have armed tellers/managers/maintenance workers in addition to any security people. Not by policy, just because FREEDOM and/or 'Merica.

This stuff really challenges the "free market" philosophies that hold that people ought to be free to associate with whomever they wish...

Because that "free market" philosophy is the stuff of monopolies and cartels. And we're seeing an unofficial cartel forming in the financial industry with the goal of trying to choke gun makers.

Maybe some of these gun businesses should try what many of us private citizens have known for a long time - Credit Unions are your friend. I can OC into my credit union and not get a second look.

Maybe conservatives should start using the liberals tactics; Boycott. If enough 5/3rd bank accounts were closed with a nice note left for management as to why, I bet they'd get the message real quick and beg for your business back. It would actually be nice to set a precedent to show other SJW corporations that conservatives aren't economic p***ys.

My caricature is based on many years of observation and participation in the corporate world, it's the one I find most humorous, so it's the one I use. Stockholders are interested primarily in rate of return, some like CALPERS, like to try some social engineering with their investments so in that respect you are correct. Not every institution sees things that way though so if you're going to be in a 2A related business, look around, somebody is handling those transactions.

It's tough to put the government genie back in the bottle, where it is now, regulations, brought by government pick many of the economic winners and losers in the world today.

It was funny, I'll agree there. The problem is when we use comedy to address serious situations, the message tends to get lost in the joke and sometimes the message is thought as a joke. I was in the corp world as well. I was the guy sitting in the corner with the lawyer quietly listening to things spoke of that needed plausible deniability. I was the guy who would lean over and whisper in the lawyer's ear to, "please leave the room" and most of the time he was already getting up knowing where the conversation was headed.

I can guarantee if there is a plan, its in motion, and stockholders will not be effected enough to care.

I came here from California. What I am seeing in a free State scares me more then living in a nanny/anti-2ndA State. I am seeing indifference to what leads to an Anti-2ndA State. I get it... why would a person living in the Rain Forest care about water conservation... San Diego, a REPUBLICAN controlled county, just BANNED Sport / Target shooting on PUBLIC LAND.

There is no indifference here, we do a pretty good job of speaking with our votes. I know you are new to the state, but we are definitely not nonchalant when it comes to defending our rights. It is a different style of fight to keep rights than to fight to get them back and a totally different political scene here compared to the west coast. I hate how the national gun community has retreated and called defeat in California, but the gun community here is not calm about any attacks by the .gov on our rights. It gets downright obnoxious for our elected officials, but that is what they signed up for.

I was at LAMPCO credit Union in North Anderson last week for business, and they have double lock doors to get inside. You buzz from outside to get into the first door and then buzz again to get into the bank. One person at a time, through the set of double doors.
I would bet that someone open carrying would not be able to gain access to the inside to do business. It was a huge pain in the ass just to get inside, with folks coming and going.

Cool. I wasnt really talking about here because I would expect those of us who visit INGO are a little more aggressive in defense of the 2ndA. I made the statement based on the chance conversation I have had with customers. magazine limits and open carry seem to be gripes I hear from the ones who are looking for answers in the wrong places.

    I believe this, 100%.........

At my local bank, they ask you to remove your sunglasses and any 'hat'........ for security reasons.

Our bank does the ID thing as well. They want a good clear shot of your face for the multi-camera systems.

Now why do you suppose they feel the need to do this....????

Probably the same reason why we have 10 cameras covering our compound. Soon to be 12.

You are not looking in the right places or you just miss it all together. We stand our ground here. Commie-fornia has beat its people down with the onslaught of overbearing rules and regulations. It took them years but succeeded.

We stand pretty much united in many ways. Could we do a better job....you betcha we could. But this midterm will be another turning point I am most sure.

Did 5/3 get any bailout money? If so did they pay it back.
I think it's time to put some congressional pressure on these dirt bag bankers.

yep they paid it back, finally. But apparently the fed still has warrants to purchase 43 million shares of 5/3 common stock.

Not surprising that a bank with this type of policy also seems to have a problem with an inordinate amount of robberies. The Fifth Third bank in Munster on Broadmoor and Calumet has been robbed at least twice since they been there, maybe more. Their proximity to 80/94, about two blocks away, makes them a tempting target as there is a nearby means of a quick getaway.

I found news stories about three different robberies at the same Fifth Third bank in Munster:

Upon reading this thread I immediately thought about closing my 5/3 account, which is just a credit card (that I do use), but then I had another thought...

It's a cash rewards card and I pay it off every month. Therefore my business is costing them money. The 1% or so they net from the merchant fees after giving me my cash rewards can't possibly cover their overhead.

So, much like anti-gun Amazon, I'll continue to be an even more loyal customer and make it cost as much to them as I possible can. I frequently make 5-6 Amazon Prime orders a week just to make them eat it in shipping and packaging. :)
