I have a cva wolf muzzleloader that bullets are expensive for...plus who wants to use a peice of plastic to hold the bullet in the barrel...anywho I was wondering if you could load .500 bullets that I have a ton for my 500 s&w!!!!
1. Buy .45 caliber 250gr XTP's and sabots separately to save a TON of money over the packaged "Muzzleloader" sabot/bullet combos.
2. .45 Cal 250gr XTP's (.45 Colt bullets) are the shiznit. 240gr XTP (.44 Mag) bullets work just as well. Make sure your sabots are the right ones for the .452" or .429" bullets.
3. To save even more money shoot 45 caliber 255gr LSWC cast bullets in sabots. The deer won't know the difference.
