50bmg Shoot

I thought there was a thread awhile back to have a 50bmg shoot sometime. I searched for it but couldn't find it. Would anyone be interested in getting something like this together this spring or summer? It would be nice to get some different models together for range day.

I have a private range up to 850yds. However it is not my property and the amount of people would be limited due to the owner not wanting "alot" of people there. But I'm sure I can work around that to a point.

+1, Don't own a 50 but would love to shoot one. Will it be open to other calibers as well?

My plan was to have a date around May for this to happen. However, a week after I started this thread, I was offered a job and will now be gone mid April through beginning of Aug.

I would now like to look at a September or October date(not Knob Creek weekend) to get this together. Hopefully that will give this thread enough time to make it to all those with 50bmg rifles that would be interested in coming out.

If your friend isn't up for having the liability of a bunch of 50's on his land I bet we could work something out with Bass and Bucks up in Wabash. People would have to pay the range fee I imagine. In all honesty, first time 50 shooters aren't going to hit much at 850 yards their first few rounds anyway. 500 can be a challenge for the uninitiated, especially with some wind. I'll keep an eye out for the date and event info and participate if I can make it. BA50 that I'm always happy to let people squeeze off a shot on.
