Shot my new heatbreaker a couple of days ago. I can't keep my mind off of it. I can't wait for it to be finished.

Still trying to find a good load.

Only had Wolf 148gr ball and 208gr soft point to try last week and with the 208's it was grouping around 3moa.

Barrel was brand new and the gun has fewer than 40 rounds down the pipe at this point.

Still need to try a bunch of factory loads and see what info I get back. Might have to work up a hand load.

I can't remember who said this earlier, but it went something like "i hate to admit that tapco saw grips are pretty comfortable" I want to say that thing looks amazing, but you need to ditch the grip, but honestly it looks good on their and i know they're comfortable. I'd like to see a side shot without the background. I'll have to look that rail up. Looks brutal!

The fore rail is awesome. Very light weight and comfortable. Being keymod you can put stuff where you want/need it and not where you dont.

The grip is direct from Marc. He likes them and puts them on everything he does. Ill most likely swap it out eventually.

I hope to take possession of it within a few weeks.

I think I said that about the Tapco grip on here the other day. I usually ***** about anything Tapco, even refer to it as Crapco, but the SAW grip fits my hand perfectly and is pretty grippy.

Are you sticking with VEPR mags, or have plans for a conversion? I can't decide on mine.

VEPR mags are single stack and much thinner than SVD mags.
I also want full mag coverage.

Great suggestion, but ill wait on UW Gear.

As for mags - at this point - VEPR mags.

I would definitely get a buffer for it since you are shooting heavier grain bullets(i.e. 208GR). I know with PSLs, you should never really go above 150GR as it will beat the snot out of it. I never went 150GR on mine. From what I have read on AKFiles, the VEPR has a more robust receiver and should hold fine. As far as ammo for it, I think PPU 182GR would excel in your platform. The problem that arises is procuring some.

Yup - I need to get a few boxes of that and try it out for sure!

Heavy ball is not a problem in VEPR's like it is in PSL's.
That was one of the reasons I sold my PSL (honest 1moa gun with Hungarian LB) and went with the unknown VEPR. The other major factor was the heavy barrel to help hold up the SOCOM 7.62RC.

Holy Thread Resurrection, Batman! That's a badarss rifle, OP.

I didn't see anyone ask, and I gotta know; How did you adapt the PRS butt stock to the VEPR? I have a PRS stock laying around and I would love to do this... (look out, sacreligious statement inbound) ...to my PSL. I love the gun, HATE the factory stock.

I realize the rear of the PSL receiver is cut different, but I wonder if whatever adapter you've used could be modified to fit the PSL...

It's a prototype piece Krebs has been playing with.

It's not the final design, but it might be possible to design in a PSL version.
