This is pretty early on. The article I linked says 2 groups of kids 12-16 ran into each other. Shots were fired. 6 of them were hit and 1 dead.

The article says "but there's no indication the violence was gang-related." I guess my gut reaction is it was gang related, but time will tell.

It will be interesting to see what happened when the facts are out.

This will go into the databases and statistics as another "mass shooting" even if (or WHEN) it is ruled to be gang related.

This article states that a 12 year old boy and his dad went out to see what the gunfire was. The dad owned the liquor store that they were in. The boy was shot then.

So the boy wasn't part of a gang. But there were others around. This article says nothing about not being gang related.

One of the boys shot looks to have been the target. A family member says he was shot at a few days earlier. Suspects are suspected to be teens also.
