This one's ripe for a parody thread.....
"There, I was, walking into my buddy's house with him after we'd been out target shooting. He said, "Sboot! wrong house!" and some crazy old bat DID shoot......."

    Could be anywhere
    Good shootin' Granny.

Two armed dudes walk in through the garage door armed...sounds like it could be a neighborhood where it would be valuable to know how to shoot.

Don't mess with Texans, especially a 1956 model.

    Baby Boomer +1, Bad Guy-0.

As a medical first responder, I have treated a fair number of older model Texans, including quite a few pre-WWII vintages. While the flesh is weakened, they are no doubt mentally tougher than their 50 yo children. Generally this population is majority female and are quite put out that their daughters have called 911 because their much more emotive daughters have called 911 because mom had, in her words, "a spell."

My favorite one tho is an older fellow, somewhere late 70s to early 80s. 911 was called because he fell. He was sitting in a recliner in his front room surrounded by family. I asked him how he fell, thinking maybe he tripped or got dizzy or something.

"I fell while climbing a tree."

"Why were you climbing a tree?"

"That's where my deer stand is."

"Ok. How did you get from there to your recliner?"

    "I got up and walked."

"OK. Do you have any pain?"

"I landed on my back and it hurts a bit."

"Do you want to go the hospital?"

"No, you boys can go home. I'm fine."

At this point the family all clamor at him until he agrees to go to the ER and get checked out. I heard later he was basically fine, just needed to rest a few days.

I would not try to break into his house either. :)

I wanna emulate THAT guy. Thank you, my Brown County brother. That is a warm fuzzy for me on a day when I need one.:yesway:

All except the falling down part.
