Yep. They made eight rounders for the 27, 327 and 627 (n-frames). I believe they were all PC/Lew Horton and the shortest barrel I've seen on them was 2.5".

On the N frame they make a 327 PC which has a 2 inch barrel and 8 rounds, plus it takes moon clips... I think there is a 2.5 inch night Guard in a 8 shot but it doesn't take the clips... I wish I could find a 8 3/4 inch 686 with the 6 shot cylinder....
