    Well, slapped a Freedom VX 3-9X on my #1 ( pre B ) in .280 rem.
    Handling both rifles..........like a #1 way better.
77s have never felt great to me, even tang safety models.
The MKii feels better, but is no Number One.

    I really need a custom #1 LOL.

Do like the short action and stainless of the Boat Paddle.
But I have a Steyr Prohunter for bad weather (but long action).
Checked GB for a used PH in .308...........none.
They did em w stainless bbls, but the nonstainless is a Mannox finish, whatever that is.

Both of my Rugers are on the block, but I might take the .280 hunting if the weather is nice.
If its crappy, the PH since it's zeroed.

See what the 77mkii does this week, if this stupid wind ever dies down. Yeeesh.

Hornady American Whitetail 150gr doing 1.25".
How much is aiming error w Trijicon triangle tip on orange dot? Some but dunno how much.
Front action screw is torqued at 50 in lbs. Could go higher. Factory ammo close to an inch, good enough IMHO.

Considering the heavy trigger, until that gets changed no sense worrying about other.

    Usable as is.
