How common is the Remington 870 Wingmaster Deer?. I have a few Wingmasters but have seen a couple that are actually stamped "WINGMASTER DEER" on the right side of the receiver, just below the ejection port. All the ones I have seen with this stamp have a smooth bore with rifle sights. Just wondering how common these are?

The "deer" stamped Wingmaster .....IIRC was the cut checkered of the late 80's?
IIRC iron sight or the 1st gen cantilever.

Remington did do stuff not catalogued.

    Plus bbls/stocks can swap easy.

Do remember the dedicated deer models (cut checkering) had slightly longer length of pull.
They had high comb stocks, but not all were cut at the back, some had a straight line to the comb (still high comb though).

Seen a few with reg bbls added for field use, on used racks........might be fine if one is accustomed to a trap model LOL.
