They are still going to sell you the gun at $399.99 because the $269.99 is after MFG rebate and Rural King is not discounting the price. If they were listing the sale price as $269.99, I am sure they would honor it because I bought my SR1911CMD for $240 less than the actual sale price because they honored the print ad price of $409.00

R K Guns, they're online store has them listed at $339.00. Store prices differ from the website. I'm guessing it's $309.00 on Sale minus the $40.00 Rebate = $269.00. They have some Low Sale Prices (just don't ask any Technical Questions)

My experience is that Rural King will honor any advertised sale price...as long as it's in print! They typically can't answer many questions for you, but their prices aren't too bad!

My suggestion...do your research online and ask your questions on a forum...then make your purchase! Big R does a little better...but not much!

I agree the actual sale price is 309.99 and then a $40 rebate. The ad is not real clear on that though.

PS. It's $20 cheaper at Dicks this week.

Looked at the print ad and maybe they forgot to list their sale price under their regular price. Gun below it has regular price then sale price then mfg rebate price. Wouldn't hurt to call them

I agree that the ad was misprinted and they are having a sale plus the rebate. I bought a 783 from Dunhams a few weeks ago on sale for $299 then got the $40 rebate on top of that. I couldn't pass up that deal.

Ok... You have me interested... How do these compare with a Savage or Ruger American? Looking for an entry level .223 bolt for my Son.

Can't compare it to the other two, but I'm impressed with the 783. I haven't tried factory ammo yet, but I made up some with the Hornady Interlock 100 gr for my 243 and am getting sub 1" groups at 100 yds shooting off a Lead Sled. More than enough accuracy for my wife and stepson. Is it perfect? No, but it has performed better than expected. The trigger is pretty good, similar to Accutrigger. The stock is cheap, but again not expecting anything fancy for the money. The mag is cheap but shouldn't have any issues as long as you don't abuse it. I like it better than the single stack on my 788. It is flush, not exposed like the 788. You won't have to worry about bumping the release and it falling out. The scope that came with it will probably do for the average or beginning shooter, but I am going to swap it out. True test will be how the wife and boy like it. Overall, I really like it.
