$7500
1992 Jeep Wrangler Sahara, 4.0 liter engine, five speed manual, ~160k miles
I bought this Jeep in Phoenix, AZ four years ago and it’s an entirely rust free machine, body and frame.
All the upgrades to the Jeep I’ve made myself, they include:
4.5" Rubicon Express Extreme suspension
Old Man Emu Shocks
Advance Adapters Slip Yoke Eliminator
Tom Woods rear drive shaft
Ford Explorer 8.8 rear axle, open carrier with 4.10's
Solid brand rear diff cover
Mountain Off-Road rear shock relocation brackets, more under axle clearance
Front Dana 30 geared to match, new 260 u-joints
Tires: Good Year 33”x12.5" Duratrac, ~10k miles on them and only two off road trips
Full size matching spare (I do the “five tire” rotation method)
Black steel wheels, 15”x8”
Besttop front seats, black cloth
Besttop rear seat cover, black vinyl
Besttop bikini top, black
LOD steel front and rear bumpers, rear with a HD swinging tire carrier
Stereo, new replacement CD player with aux. input
Dynomax large body muffler
I pulled the body off the frame two years ago to preserve the frame. I used POR15 for the base then primed and used Rustoleum for a top coat. For the inside of the frame I used Eastwood internal frame coating. The engine is a remanufactured unit that was replaced when the Jeep was a couple of years old, so it probably has 30k fewer miles than the chassis. Last winter it got new main/rod bearings while I was replacing the rear crank seal.
Inoperative: door locks, gas gauge, and A/C. The float came off the fuel sender so I fill up by the trip odometer. The A/C has worked in the past, I had converted it to 134a, but it needs a pressure switch as I recall and it’s missing the drier/receiver since that’s where I broke the system open for the frame preservation.
The green paint is faded and top is tired as you'd expect from an AZ machine.
