I have a RIA 1911 in 9mm. its a great gun and seems to run great. I had a few little things early on, like not wanting to chamber a round from a full mag. but I got that fixed. I am thinking about another 1911, maybe a Colt or Kimber or Sig. I may go with a 9mm again. What do you guys think of the 9mm 1911's..I do like the .45's but I only have one .45 handgun and don't stock pile ammo for it.

    Thanks,
    Littlejoe

You run what you like "But".................

    To me, a 9mm 1911 is like buying a new Camaro with a V-6

No knock on the round but it is just Blasphemy to the alter of the all mighty JMB......................:):

I have had several 1911's in 9mm and have not had any issues with them, in the other hand I have had 1911's in .45 that were junk (Kimber). I currently have a Springfield and a Dan Wesson and both are a joy to shoot, depending on your budget I suggest to take a look at the DW PM9.

I'll give you a $100 for the Kimber. :dunno:

A friend of mine who got into target shooting bought a Kimber in 9MM. It was the match target model or whatever they call it. He went with 9mm since he already owned a 9mm and didn't want to have multiple calibers.

He enjoys shooting, but I wouldn't necessarily call him a gun enthusiast.

He really likes his Kimber though.
