I Have been testing different ammo on old Surplus Point blank vests recently & while doing a test using 10, 9mm 115 grain corbon dpx rounds was able to punch one through. I have tried pmc fmj, corbon jhp, ect but was surprised that one of the DPX rounds penetrated.

    Thought I would share.

I wasn't aware, that ANY vest, could be shot 10 times .....

I"m not sure what this accomplishes other than getting Utube views? Any vest will start to degrade after the first shot. I would guess if you shoot it enough times with a 22 eventually you will get penetration.

If I wore soft body armor for work I would hope to God the vest could handle up to 10 hits. What is the point of a one shot vest.

If one out of ten made it through on a used, ten year old vest I'd still consider that darn good for the vest. Remember, heat, moisture, and age degrade the vests.
