ok sorry to jack the thread but what difference does the velocity make?

It is a safety issue. much slower than that and bullets start to bounce off instead of disintegrate.

+1 Litlratt I made a trip out to Riley to meet up with Litlratt and shoot some of his light loads. He also brought some springs that helped tune my gun and offered many helpful tips about what I was and was not doing right.
