We have a policy that we respond to all calls. It's good PR and we do try to help.

Believe me, I have see more than my share of stupidity. I was called once years ago on a bed ridden person. Her husband had left for work. We had to "jiggle" the handle of the toilet....no joke.

I got sent on a call for some yo yo that left her garage door open on a very cold night. Her hot water heater line froze and burst. She actually called 911.

We have a four year old or so consolidated dispatch center now. Nothing they do would surprise me. 911 calls for drunk drivers...forget it. :n00b: The information is most often 10 minutes old when we get it. No exaggeration. I won't even respond to them as a broadcast any longer. The great money saving consolidated dispatch center that wasn't. They don't have any money now and we are about to get a new tax levied to pay for the jacked up worthless place.:xmad: If you live in Hendricks County your new tax is coming soon.

I dont mind doing the lockouts, but I do get irritated when they call for one in a torrential downpour. I have told them that I will return when the rain slacks off a bit.

That seems to be when they all happen. At least with me.
