Tools for the day.
My two youngest daughters are 11 and 13. Both are expressing interest in learning survival skills so figured I would teach them how to build a shelter. We used sticks, twine and a tarp. Things I always have with me anytime I set out for a hunt or hike in the woods.
It's bigger than what I would build in an emergency situation. But for learning purposes I think its just right. We were going to finish it off with two more tarps on both sides but mother nature wasn't playing nice today. Overall we had fun and I think its something they will always remember.
