I only carry 1 round in my slug gun per day ;)...

My last three deer have been taken in regular gun seasons with a muzzleloader. It was my choice and all that was needed to take the deer.

That said, if I choose to carry a repeater to hunt with, whose business is it how many rounds I may carry to my stand, back to the truck or returning to my home?

I'm content with regulation of rounds in my gun/magazines while hunting. Not content at all in circumstances surrounding the actual hunting, any of which could be deemed self defense or survival.

Remember, we got HP rifle by having some "limits".

I don't see the 10 round possession limit as any big deal.
But I bet somebody somewhere is going afield with all 10 in a single detachable mag........and notice the mag aint there when they get to their stand LOL.
Two five rounders could save the day.

Hmm. When i usually hunt, i leave all the ammo locked up in the truck. This is a plastic ammo box that holds up to 50 rounds, that after 10 years is down to 5. But i usually also have a box with my dads and bros ammo in it too. I like to keep the ammo locked up in a safe place. This would be a hunting trip to ark as an example. However that is a good question of, when exactly do i "start" hunting. When i leave the house, or the truck or enter the property i am hunting on. And yes what about the guys hunting with handguns and long guns in the same caliber. The dnr seems to be somewhat confusing as of late, heh.

So if I'm using my home as my tree-stand, I need to leave all other restricted rounds for that caliber in my car? Gonna be a pain to move it out to my car when I start a hunt and move it all back inside when I'm done... haha
