Great, just about to get in the shower, when I hear an explosion in my back yard. No power to run the water pump, guess I'll be stinky for a while till Duke gets here!

That was the fastest service ever by Duke Energy! He was here less than 30 minutes after my phone call and had the "fuse?" replaced in about 5 minutes!
    +1 for Duke!

Had that happen once. Whole house shook. Thought someone sit off a pipe bomb. All that was left of mine was a charcoal plet. Who da thunk...

I always enjoyed it when the power companies would come out to our elementary school and explain the dangers of power lines. They would ALWAYS talk about how terrible squirrels were on their systems.

There is (in theory) enough electricity to kill 18,000 people in those lines.

Or more, just sayin'................but I do love me some fried squirrel!

    :postpics:

Video would have been cooler though.

I expected someone to use that! I did take some pics, and next time my daughter comes over I'll see if we can get them on here. I'll warn the squeamish though! One of his lungs popped out of his chest and landed 2 or 3 feet away from his body and the blood splatters went up about 30 inches on the barn. The squirrel exploded!
