I was looking forward to your AAR. Thanks for sharing. I could not make it this time around due to schedule triple-conflict, but there's always next year.
If you haven't made it to a Rogers class, you owe it to yourself to pony up.
Missed this one due to schedule, but will be catching up with him in September for a 4 day down in Memphis, I think this will be like number 8 with Pat over the last 6 years or so.
The pace of the class is high, and the information given is defiantly solid fighting with a carbine, no fluff here.
Glad too here you had a good time, bet it wasn't as much fun as the AK though.
The '08 carbine course was a good time as always, but it paled in comparison to last year's class, in terms of the overall skill level of the students and getting to do new/advanced stuff. Last year, virtually every student was an EAG alum, and it was a very "switched on" group of guys. This year, we had some new shooters, as well as a couple of older guys who just couldn't keep their head and/or body in the fight. Anytime you have a wide range of skill levels in a single group, it's going to necessitate a slower pace. That, and our schedule was a bit compressed due to range conflict and weather issues, so we may not have gotten to do everything that Pat had originally planned.
The AK course last year was a LOT of fun; I'll probably do that one again next spring if it is offered again at BCSD.
