Everyone had their knickers in a bunch over them and demanded that the military be responsible for the "trials". Well, the first detainees trial is over and he's going away for life. Guess the civilian courts do work and they do it in a fraction of the time that the military does, apparently. Go figure.

how come only a conviction is---working???

is this the same one where there was a ton of charges up against him, but only one was an actual conviction? As in almost found innocent? Doesn't seem like it worked to well. More like we dodged a bullet.
