Does anyone have any experience with the Ace clamp on sight? I've been looking at these ever since I took the FSB off my AK 74 frankengun but just haven't been sure. The more I think about the gas block/front sight combo the less I want to hassle with going that route, plus I haven't seen them available. I have read that the weight is noticeable but I can get over that.
I switched the handguard on the AK from the standard length to the extended length MI railed handguard and put the left over top cover over the gas block section. The plan was to put the clamp on sight on the gas block and under the extra rail cover, which is going to take some filing/cutting/thinking to fit right. I'm really not going for looks on this one. Any input would be appreciated.
