Just got done watching Act of Valor for the umteenth time.. damn thing punches me in the gut every single time... Poem at the end.. just wow.. finally got off my ass and went to find it online... turns out, there's more than what they showed in the movie.

"So live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart. Trouble no one about their religion; respect others in their view, and demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life, beautify all things in your life. Seek to make your life long and its purpose in the service of your people. Prepare a noble death song for the day when you go over the great divide.

Always give a word or a sign of salute when meeting or passing a friend, even a stranger, when in a lonely place. Show respect to all people and grovel to none.

When you arise in the morning give thanks for the food and for the joy of living. If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies only in yourself. Abuse no one and no thing, for abuse turns the wise ones to fools and robs the spirit of its vision.

When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home." -Tecumseh

I think things in this world would go a lot better if we all could manage to live by these words.

My oldest daughter and I went to see it and she still talks about the bravery and sacrifice of our soldiers. Watching that movie together had more of an impact on her than all my words about respecting our freedom and those that serve to protect it. I bought the dvd last week but I know it won't be the same as seeing it on the big screen.

Ive seen the preveiws many times but never rented it on demand... maybe ill check it out soon.
Awesome movie... I've watched it multiple times...
In Afghanistan I worked with one of the SEALs that was in the movie. Great guy...

The first time I watched the movie it was in the MWR room with the SEAL Team (including the one that was in the movie). It was a surreal experience... one I will never forget...

I have a picture to prove I worked with one of the guys in the movie but I made him a promise it will never end up on the internet... so you will just have to believe me...

+3. Brings a tear to my eye when they let them rip! I would never want to have to face our military might. Despite the problems we have in America right now, I am still glad that I am on the same side as the U.S. military!

Oh, and OP, thanks for posting the words. Its going up on my bulletin board at work and home.
