I was performing an inventory on food and water today (just in the survivalist mood) to see how we would fair in our current state.

I found that all we had was about 5 gallons of bottled water and our food supply is pretty limited (4 people).

It then occurred to me to check the medical supplies... we have 24 cans of 2,000 kCal powdered medical food and about 3 gallons of pedialyte in 2oz bottles.

That should help out if there is an emergency :D

Of course we might have to utilize some of our leftover NG tubes to be able to eat that crap. I would really have to be starving to death before I could make myself swallow that stuff.

Since it is cold outside, we just have the water in the garage. In the summer we keep it inside in the AC. It is just a huge Costco size pack of individual water bottles. We don't really have enough, but add it with the pedialyte and we should have plenty for a few days.

After that we will have to rely on filtration.
