The difference in caliber isn't it...
1) they both have "left hand" cocking knobs (why?)
2) their folding stocks are for lefties too.
3) is that an extension with a peep sight sticking out over the bolts dust cover on the top rifle?
4) what are those tabs on the recievers (in front of the mags), open-bolt-releases? since when do AKs lock back the bolt on an empty mag?

The left side charging handle is a custom mod. The stocks are accurate for current folding AK's. The rifle with the sight over the dust cover is a Krink. The "tabs" on the front of the receiver are latches for the folding stocks.

when they use Yugo bolt hold open mags, OR they are Yugo M64s with integral last round bolt hold opens

Thought about that. I've already got a Chinese blondy AK, so I'm wanting this one to go Bakelite. Need to find a bakelite mag, but they are pretty damn hard to come by reasonably anymore.

Bakelite grips that will match your bayo is either a russian, east german, and polish, the polish ones sometimes run a little more red, sometimes a little more orange all will match.
These can be found daily on ak files forum for a lot cheaper than 50 hey check right now and pick up some mint stamped tula 7.62x39 bakelite mags...80 for 2 i think.

Bakelite mags deffinitly run 50$ each these days
40 rounders Ive seen for 275-450 LOL!!

That's sweet! Take a look at the magpul riser if the optic is too high for you, and that's your call.

Yes sir, SGL21-61. I'd never had a *decent* optic before, I had it pretty well dialed in after 9 rounds, I love it.

Maadi Refinish

Refinished my Egyptian Maadi that I got in a trade with a fellow INGOer awhile back. I think I'd like to get a muzzle break for it, but the barrel isn't threaded. (yet) Also added the Tech Sight.

I'm a traditionalist on my AK's

I have heard alot of people complain about the IO, this one has had over 1200 rds threw it. Out of the box with 600 rds twice it did not pick up the first round from a fresh mag, otherwise not a problem to date
