Here I was, just about to finish sighting in my M70AB2. After some serious trigger slap, I was going to drop in a G2 trigger at the first opportunity. Suddenly the rifle became a single shot. Spent round ejected, live round in the chamber, no boom. Ejected live round, another fed in, boom. Same thing happened 3 times. Checked the slot and found this:

Hammer not reset. Took it apart to see this:

    Something didn't look right.

Yup, it's broke. Guess I'll need that G2 trigger right away.

Also destroyed my CETME sight tool. Broke both ears off. Time to upgrade.

I've got a Red Star adjustable trigger in mine (thanks vitamink!) and love it. Smooth as silk.
F you and F that trigger. Imagine trying to install a loaded hair tigger mousetrap made of barb wire and shards of glass into an AK. It was really really nice when done, but f that thing.

WTF. I repped the little weirdo.

I always thought it was VITA MINK, anyways. It would be cooler to call him a Mink of vitality. That's just one guys opinion.

And it only cost you 3 nut-kickings and a few drops of VK blood! (plus cost of parts)

Well... it was just a Star trigger before he installed it.

(But as a side benefit, if I ever go nuts and use the gun in a crime, it's already got his DNA on it. Plausible deniability!) ;)

I wouldn't put too much faith in that. I make it a point to put my DNA everywhere. Be happy all you got was blood.

It still had the original trigger that Century put in there - that may be reason enough. I have fired other M70AB2s that had the same issue. All have had G2 triggers put in that resolved the issue. This one's was replaced over the weekend.

The sight tool broke just by using it. It was a cheapo, and sometimes you get what you pay for. Never did get that sight adjusted, which means another range trip. Silver lining.
