Indiana law allows for it to happen the school just has to decide to take the step.

I'd be very surprised if my people in Alabama actually let schools implement this. Alabama is still a very "how it looks" state.

Hopefully more private schools will avail themselves of the opportunity to make everyone on the premises safer. I hold no hope for government schools.

Shall issue hand gun permits/licenses seem to have had a positive impact on crime rates. Legislation such as this would help drastically.

So, couldn't an anti-gun school board or higher admin just...fire them? "Don't care what the law says, we don't want guns here, GTFO"?

Dunno. It would depend on how the law is written, if teachers have union protection, what rights employees have in the state, etc. I know jack-diddly about the state of such things in Alabama.

While not Mississippi, Alabama has always been a little hard to figure. A tall task. Plus I thought it was Bo Diddly.
